Bound Brook needs people that cares about the town and not their own pockets.
Am I reading this right? Your church wants you to distribute Political Fliers?

Our church's small group offered help a couple months ago to clean up BB. I talked to one of the "managers" and as they explained what they needed they also told us (BB person) if we were willing to help them out to distribute some fliers for them.

All I'm saying is: nothing will get done.... they are only looking to fill their own pockets.

Main St looks the same...nothing is getting done and i really doubt something will unless the REAL residents get up and start something.

I read these posts and just keep feeling sad.

There is only one way things will change....all of the committed citizens will have to do it themselves.

It is so apparent that the current council members and those on the ballot do not have the will, the governance knowledge, business accumen and/ or an ability to build consensus. Thus, each resident who has a commitment to the town has to get inside this horrible monster and start to work that way. Get on one of the committees and push these council members via the committee directives.

All of he various committee meeting schedules are posted every January. Go to those individual meetings and push those members to set an agenda to accomplish and/or put to the council.

The push has got to come from the citizens.

If that church group wants to help with a community clean-up, it should set its own agenda outline, decide to adopt an area and go to the council meeting. Do it all in public.

I always remember Ronald Reagan....You can get alot done if you don't worry about who gets the credit for it. Now that may be a paraphrasing, but you get the idea. There are so many smart people in Bound Brook with a wide variety or backgrounds. Just try to get those folks to generate their ideas, not carp about what is not being done.

I have had to relocate out of Bound Brook, but my heart will always be there. It is just so sad to me to see what has become versus what was.

Interesting how nothing is done for the good of the people--- Clean-ups--Earth Day functions never take place unless of course they are for a political gain or done by a councilmans wife or group--- for a newspaper photo shoot--- Enough of the I I I Me me me its time to DO SOMETHING FOR ALL BY ALL TO BENEFIT ALL---

What exactly do you mean by "...it wasn't positive"? Did anyone try to dissuade you from a cleanup? I, for one, would be interested in hearing what the "town management reaction" was, as I'm sure we all would. Thanks.
